Canadian National Parks
If you've explored my website, you'll have deduced that I'm a big outdoor enthusiast. So it will come as no surprise that the National Parks of Canada figure prominently into my favorite places. Like those in the US, Canadian Parks are precious natural areas considered too rare and beautiful to allow for private ownership and development. Hence, they've been set aside by the government for all to enjoy for generations to come and are under the care of Parks Canada. My two favorites are Banff and Jasper.
In general, most Canadian parks are less crowded and easier to get into than popular ones in the US. But if you know your dates and can stick to a schedule, reserve campsites well in advance by clicking here. That said, I've traveled here several times without reservations and found campsites by checking for cancellations.
